Incremental GST Reimbursement Lies Against Employer, Not State: Karnataka HC
The Karnataka High Court partly allowed the State of Karnataka’s appeal and held that reimbursement of incremental GST paid by contractors due to the transition from the KVAT regime to GST on works contracts is a matter between the contractors and the concerned employers, and cannot be claimed against the State Government or tax authorities.
