Guitar Paint
Guitar paint is the colored coating applied to a guitar’s body (and sometimes the neck) to create its look and help protect the wood. It usually includes a primer or sealer, the color coat, and a clear topcoat for gloss and durability. Common systems are nitrocellulose lacquer for a vintage feel and aging, and polyurethane or polyester for tougher, more chip-resistant protection.
