Moldavite: The Mystical Crystal from Space
Moldavite Crystal is a rare and fascinating often referred to as a “gem from space.” It is a type of tektite, formed from a meteorite impact that occurred millions of years ago. When a meteorite collided with Earth in what is now the Czech Republic, the intense heat and pressure caused the Earth’s surface to melt, and the molten material eventually solidified into the striking green stone we know today as Moldavite.
